A fantastic couple of sales recently which is proof that the market is strong and there are definite buyers out there eagerly looking and waiting for their dream property to appear.

When selling, it’s not only the inside of your house that needs a declutter. Your garden and surrounding land is just as important for giving the best first impression, so take the time and effort to do a bit of tidying up. Trim hedges, remove dead branches, plant some flowering plants to liven up your garden or verandah and remove all visible rubbish. Buyers want to see that you take pride in your surroundings and that you look after both the inside and the outside of your home. Remember, some people may not be very good at looking past the clutter or mess, so every effort counts.

When presenting your property you want people to imagine their life in your home. You want someone to imagine having their morning cuppa looking out at the beautiful landscape or entertaining friends with some alfresco dining. Even if you don’t live this way, people need to see that it’s possible. Position a small table and a couple of chairs in a strategic spot so that a potential buyer can picture themselves there. You want people to remember specific spots in your home so by adding some detailed touches you can leave a lasting impression. Now that summer has passed you want to give a warm impression.
